Samba Diawara has come in as the caretaker head coach for Stade de Reims following the dismissal of summer appointment Luka Elsner. Diawara took the reigns for Reims’ Coupe de France match against fifth-tier Bourgoin-Jallieu (0-0).

It took penalties for the Ligue 1 side to progress past the amateur side and land a place in the quarter-finals of the cup (where they will take on Angers SCO). Diawara will likely make a few changes from that side, with Keito Nakamura dropping to the bench.

In place of the Japanese international, Diawara will probably go with Amadou Koné in midfield. In defence, the caretaker provided Hiroki Sekine his first start for the club, but Aurélio Buta will likely return to his place on the right of the back four. In goal, Alexandre Olliero drops back to the bench for first-choice Yehvann Diouf.
