Reims predicted XI v OGC Nice: Junya Ito out | OneFootball

Samba Diawara provided a positive update on Junya Ito’s ankle injury earlier this week, however, the Japanese international is not expected to be fit to face OGC Nice.

Stade de Reims head to the Côte d’Azur with the hope of getting a win that would potentially confirm their safety in Ligue 1. However, they will have to do so without their key player, Ito. The Japan international came off injured during the 0-0 draw against Montpellier HSC last weekend.

There was a fear that Ito had suffered a serious injury, however, Diawara was reassuring, stating that the forward had not suffered a sprain, nor were his ligaments affected. The injury, therefore, is not long-term, however, Diawara confirmed he would need a few days’ rest and so he misses Reims’ match against Nice on Friday night.
