Enzo Maresca is safe for now despite Chelsea’s Champions League hopes taking a huge dent against Ipswich according to reports.
The Blues were held to a 2-2 draw by the Tractor Boys on Sunday as they lost ground in the race for Champions League football.
Fans were visibly frustrated inside Stamford Bridge and Maresca took aim at supporters in his post match comments as he tried to blame them for Ipswich’s second goal.
Chelsea face a difficult run-in and have now slipped to sixth in the table, although they are still just a point outside the top five.
The Blues have been in poor form arguably since Christmas and it’s hard to see where they are picking up enough points to secure a top five finish.
Some sections of the fanbase have already made their mind up about the Italian and want him out, but Mail Sport have reported his job is safe for now.

The report adds full focus at Chelsea is on Champions League qualification and winning the Conference League, whilst there is no consideration being given to yet another managerial change.
Maresca signed a five year deal when he replaced Mauricio Pochettino last summer, and Chelsea believe he can become one of the best managers in the industry.
The Blues more than anything need stability especially given how young and inexperienced the squad is, and it’s hard to feel that changing the manager again would give anything other than some temporary joy.

Chelsea still have plenty to play for, but dropping points against Ipswich for the second time this season really felt like the end of the club’s Champions League hopes given current form.
Maresca’s men face the second leg of their Conference League quarter final against Legia Warsaw on Thursday evening before a difficult trip to Fulham on Sunday.
