Taylor’s contract expires at the end of the season and there have been no updates in recent weeks regarding the status of talks, suggesting no breakthrough was forthcoming.
As reported by Record Sport, Taylor wants to stay at Celtic and sign a new deal but the arrival of Tierney might alter that position. The report states that there is interest from Dinamo Zagreb as well as English sides in the player on a pre-contract basis.

There have been rumours from Croatian media suggesting that the player wants to leave but with a settled life in Glasgow, you can see why the player would want to remain at the club. Taylor and Tierney would be an excellent combination as the pair would allow to manage Tierney’s game time and provide competition in that area of the pitch.
The major stumbling block is likely wages on offer as Celtic will likely have to make Tierney a top earner at the club, something Taylor will be hoping for himself. Ultimately, it is up to the club whether they want to make Taylor a top earner if he is to have a lesser role in the squad.
