This season, the Champions League is worth more than ever to participating club.

With the new format, there are more matches.

And between participation bonuses, results bonuses, and other payments from UEFA, there is no shortage of cash coming in for Inter and other clubs playing in Europe’s top club competition.

Inter Milan Earnings From Champions League Eclipse All Other Serie A Clubs

As the Gazzetta note, if Inter were to win the Champions League this season, it would mean earnings of more than €140 million from UEFA.

That is, of course, still a long way away.

But the Nerazzurri are already right on the verge of securing their place in the round of sixteen.

And if Inter do so by beating Monaco next week, they will do so in fourth place.

Between the result bonus for that win, and the big cash influx from qualifying directly for the knockouts in fourth place, Inter’s total earnings would reach €85 million.

AC Milan, by contrast, would bring in €73 million in total if they hold onto sixth place.

Meanwhile, the other Serie A teams in the competition are further back.

There are five teams from the Italian top flight in total in the Champions League this season. Juventus, Atalanta, and Bologna are further back in terms of earnings.
