Indeed, the 48-year-old has become the architect of the club’s return to prominence after a decade-long struggle.

In addition to guiding Inter to the 2023 Champions League final, Inzaghi has won six major titles at Giuseppe Meazza.

He inspired the Nerazzurri to a landmark 20th Scudetto last season, leaving second-placed AC Milan 19 points behind.

However, this could be his most impressive year yet.

The reigning Serie A champions are firmly in contention for another treble – the club’s first since 2010 under Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Inzaghi’s deal is due to expire in 2026.

Therefore, the Italian heavyweights are working on renewing it until 2028.

Fresh terms would reportedly take Inzaghi’s annual salary to €7 million net per season.
