RB Leipzig have reportedly set an €80 million price tag on Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons, should he decide to leave the club this summer.
The 21-year-old joined Leipzig on a permanent basis from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2025 for a fee of €50 million plus significant add-ons, potentially totalling €80 million.
Initially joining Leipzig on an 18-month loan from PSG, Simons made a significant impact, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions in his first season.
His performances prompted Leipzig to secure his services permanently, with the deal finalised in the last window.
Sky Germany reported: “For Xavi a departure is possible, but staying is not ruled out either.Leipzig aim to make a significant profit after signing him from PSG for €50m plus add-ons last winter.”

Simons’ time at RB Leipzig has been a mix of standout performances and behind-the-scenes tension. On the pitch, he’s been one of the team’s most influential players, but off it, reports suggest his attitude hasn’t always sat well with teammates.
That said, there’s no denying his impact on Leipzig’s attack. His partnership with Belgian forward Lois Openda has been a key factor in the team’s success, with the duo making Leipzig one of the most dangerous sides in Germany.
His journey to this point has been eventful. After coming through Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy, he joined PSG in 2019. A loan spell at PSV Eindhoven in 2022-23 saw him finish as the Eredivisie’s top scorer, which led to Leipzig taking him on loan.
His performances were impressive enough for the club to make the move permanent, cementing his reputation as one of Europe’s brightest young talents.
