According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus have agreed a dry loan with Chelsea for defender Renato Veiga for a total cost of €4.5m and he could fly in on Thursday.
The Bianconeri have been very active on the transfer market and knew they needed at least one reinforcement for the back four after losing Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal to torn anterior cruciate ligaments.
Initially, the plan had been to invest heavily with experienced players like Ronald Araujo of Barcelona, but he has decided to extend his current contract.
They turned towards Chelsea and Renato Veiga instead and the asking price was believed to be circa €20m for a permanent sale.

However, Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening that Juventus have agreed terms to sign Renato Veiga on a dry loan until June, meaning there is no option to make it permanent.
The cost of the operation is circa €4.5m, but Chelsea will cover both the player’s salary and commission for his agent, so Juve are saving on those aspects.
Lazio and Borussia Dortmund had also been interested in the Portugal international, who had his heart set on Juventus instead.
The 21-year-old can play in central defence or at left-back and was only purchased six months ago from FC Basel for €14m.
