Roma are ready to make their first offer to Inter Milan for midfielder Davide Frattesi.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the Giallorossi will offer a €5 million paid loan deal with a conditional €25 million purchase obligation.

By now, it is certainly no secret that Frattesi wants to leave Inter. The 25-year-old is unhappy with his playing time at the Nerazzurri and wants a change of scenery.

The club that Frattesi wants to join is Roma, his boyhood club.

And for their part, the Giallorossi are very keen to sign Frattesi. They want to bring him in as early as during the January transfer window, taking advantage of his pushing for an exit from Inter.

But the big question will be whether Roma can convince Inter on a move.

The club from the Italian capital have yet to put forward a formal offer. However, reports FCIN, they are preparing their first bid for Frattesi.

According to FCIN, Roma’s plan is to offer to sign Frattesi on an initial paid loan deal this month.

The loan fee would be around €5 million.

Then, there would be a conditional purchase obligation for the Giallorossi to sign Frattesi for a fee of around €25 million. That would take the total value of the deal to around €30 million.

However, that purchase obligation would only kick in if Roma are to qualify for a European competition this season.

That is hardly something to be taken for granted, considering Roma’s place in the table and competition for European places this season.

Moreover, €30 million is far from Inter’s valuation of Frattesi. The Nerazzurri reportedly want at least €10 million for the former Sassuolo midfielder.

Therefore, Inter are almost certain to swiftly reject this bid from Roma.

Nevertheless, Roma are not giving up. They are confident that they will be able to sign Frattesi before the end of the January transfer window.

Moreover, there is always the possibility of offering midfielder Bryan Cristante as part of a bid for the Italian international.
