But the clubs are aiming to buy the property and to build a new stadium which they own on it.

And that is what Inter and Milan have now officially proposed to the city.

The feasibility plan and proposal that the clubs submitted yesterday contains a detailed proposal on a stadium that will hold around 70,000 spectators, and for a renewal of the property that includes over 50% green space.

The total construction cost of the project will be over €1 billion for the clubs. And of that, €197 million will be the payment to the city of Milan for the property.

Tuttosport note that Inter and Milan want to begin construction in 2027. This could see the new stadium ready for them to move in in 2030.
