Federico Dimarco gave his verdict on facing Lamine Yamal on the bench during Inter Milan’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

As FCInter1908 highlight, the television cameras caught the Inter wingback calling the Spanish teenager “unreal” after his substitution.

Federico Dimarco started for Inter Milan against Barcelona in Tuesday’s Champions League semifinal second leg.

And the 27-year-old truly had the most unenviable of tasks. He had to defend against Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal.

Yamal has lit up the Champions League with his pace and dribbling ability this season.

And that was certainly on show in both legs against Inter. The 17-year-old gave Dimarco, as well as teammates Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alessandro Bastoni an absolutely torrid time.

Eventually, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi gave Federico Dimarco a break.

The Nerazzurri coach took the Italian international off as a substitute for the second half of Tuesday’s match.

And Inzaghi made clear to Dimarco’s replacement Carlos Augusto that the priority was to try and keep a lid on Yamal.

In truth, the Brazilian was not terribly successful in this task.

Meanwhile, Dimarco chatted with teammates on the bench about what marking Yamal had been liked.

With a stupefied expression on his face, the 27-year-old called Yamal “unreal.”
