“Right kind of place” – Malouda names two clubs that would suit £52m Chelsea star

Former Blue Florent Malouda believes Arsenal or Bayern Munich would be the right place for Christopher Nkunku to go this summer.
The Blues are once again set for another busy summer, and they could look to sell as many as seven or eight players in order to fund their business.
Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Whilst new signings are a priority this summer, Chelsea also have a number of players they are looking to sell who are surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Nkunku falls into that category and the France international’s £52m from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023 simply hasn’t worked out.
The 27-year-old has reportedly already decided to leave Chelsea this summer, and he’s simply been unable to force himself into Maresca’s plans on a consistent basis this season.

Nkunku has scored 14 goals in all competitions, but just three of those have come in the Premier League, where he’s started just nine games.
Malouda has now had his say on Nkunku and believes Arsenal or Bayern would be the right kind of place for him to go.
“Arsenal or Bayern Munich would be the right kind of place for him to go, but I’m not sure he should go,” he said as cited on X.com.
“Personally, I like him as a player, as a person. I would love for him to fight. To prove what he showed in the beginning.
“I think it’s more a mental aspect that he needs to work on a little bit, like Jadon Sancho. Moving clubs, it’s sometimes running away from what you have to adjust.”
Nkunku’s Chelsea career is almost certainly over and it now depends how much money Chelsea can get for the attacker.
Bayern were interested in January, but with Florian Wirtz a key target a move now seems unlikely, although Arsenal could reignite their interest in Nkunku.

The Blues have been linked with Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens, whilst Alejandro Garnacho was a target in January.
Aston Villa star Rogers has emerged as a target, although it’s believed Villa have set an asking price of £90m for the England international, and Chelsea could put the Nkunku money towards making a serious move.
