The Championship's Goal of the Month for October has been revealed and it's an absolute banger.
Sheffield Wednesday striker Michael Smith took the top honour for his rocket from outside the penalty area to tip the balance in a 2-1 win over Portsmouth last month.
Smith's 25-yard effort helped move Danny Röhl's side up to 13th in the table as they aim to close the gap to the promotion places.
"It was hands down the best goal of my career so far," said the Owls' frontman.
"If I wasn’t so tired I might have taken a touch, it was one of those that goes in the back of the net or over the stand.
“When the manager and his staff came in last year, everyone could see what he was trying to implement. I think this season things are starting to click into gear.
"We know what it means to play for this football club, and we want to keep pushing towards the top end of the table.”
Wednesday entertain Cardiff City in their next fixture after the November international break.
