Manchester United will face Fulham in the FA Cup at Old Trafford on Sunday without several key stars who are either injured or suspended.

The Red Devils will be without Patrick Dorgu following his direct red card against Ipswich Town on Wednesday. The Dane’s dubious red means a three-match ban.

Ruben Amorim will also be without the likes of Amad, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount, Altay Bayindir just to name a few. And there could be worse news on the way.

90min have quoted the head coach as saying that the Argentine had picked up a knock during the game against the Kieran Mckenna’s side.

Garnacho injury scare

The 20-year-old was running with the ball and was on the edge of the box, preparing to pull the trigger before a last-ditch sliding tackle from the Ipswich defender relieved him off the ball.

He was soon substituted after Dorgu’s red card with Noussair Mazraoui brought on in his place as the coach opted to add defensive solidity.

But it seems the decision was also partly necessitated due to a small injury. “Yes, he has a knock, when he went to shoot was blocked inside the box. I expect for him to be ready but we will see,” Amorim said.

Whether the Argentina international is fit enough to face the Cottagers remains to be seen but his importance cannot be questioned given the poor form of Rasmus Hojlund up top.

Controversy galore

The Carrington graduate has not been great when it comes to finishing off chances but he remains the only attacker brave enough to take on his man and attack the box.

He is been in the eye of a storm following his early substitution against the Tractor Boys with his angry walk straight down the tunnel and post-match social media reaction attracting plenty of controversy.

But the player has reportedly made amends following a private talk with the coach and has also promised to pay for the whole team’s dinner.

Amorim will need all hands on deck if he is to end the season on a high with the FA Cup and Europa League being the team’s only shot at making it to Europe next season.
