Sergio Ramos is open to a return to Real Madrid as the club consider options in central defence.
The Spanish champions are depleted defensively due to a wretched run of bad luck, with Eder Militao last week ruled out for the campaign with another anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Dani Carvajal is also sidelined for the campaign with an ACL problem, while David Alaba is yet to return from his long-term layoff with the same issue.
Ramos has been named as a potential option to ease the crisis at the Bernabeu, with the veteran defender a free agent following his release from Sevilla in the summer.
The 38-year-old is yet to find a new club and Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Ramos would be ‘open and happy to return’ if the European champions made an approach.
However, there has been no contact between Real Madrid and the defender over a potential move at this stage.
Ramo ranks fourth for appearances for Real Madrid having represented the club 671 times during a decorated first spell in the Spanish capital. During his time with Los Blancos, he won five La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies among his honours.
