Former Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos has on Wednesday evening sent a message of encouragement the way of his ex-employers and teammates.

This, of course, comes ahead of a potentially season-defining outing to come for Los Blancos.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are primed to return to action in short order, when they welcome Arsenal to Spain’s capital for the 2nd leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the clubs.

Real Madrid head into the matchup requiring something of a miracle to advance, having been put to the sword by three goals to nil in last week’s opener in north London.

The days leading up to the clash, though, have seen the word ‘remontada’ (comeback) take its place front and centre in the headlines across Spain.

And as alluded to above, ahead of the fast-approaching kick-off at the Santiago Bernabéu, the reigning European champions have received the backing of a player responsible for a number of historic comebacks in Real’s colours.

Taking to his official Instagram account this evening, Sergio Ramos unveiled a photo of the Bernabéu, accompanied by the caption:

‘Everyone knows who Real Madrid are. Champions League night. Let’s go for it!’
