Bologna climb into sixth place in the Serie A table following their 2-1 victory over Milan, leaving the Rossoneri eight points adrift of the Champions League spots.
This evening the Stadio Dall’Ara finally hosted the Week 9 fixture that had been called off in October 2024 due to flood warnings in the area.
It was a head-to-head for position, as both Bologna and Milan went into tonight’s game with 41 points, in joint seventh place.
The Rossoneri had gone in front, but the 2-1 defeat means the Rossoblu leapfrog Fiorentina into sixth place on 44 points.
Milan are left in eighth position on 41 points, just one more than Roma in ninth.
More pertinently, the Diavolo are now eight points adrift of Juventus in fourth and those precious Champions League qualification positions.
Inter and Napoli will go head-to-head for the Scudetto on Saturday at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at 17.00 GMT.
Atalanta are right behind them ready to take advantage, but the gap is opening up behind those three.
