For almost 18 months now, Barcelona have been linked with a move for Rafael Leao, but now, it seems it will go to a new level this summer.

Whenever you see a rumour about Leao’s future, Barcelona are normally involved somewhere. Whether it is in the background or foreground, they are present in the Leao picture, and have been for some time now.

This, of course, is no shock. After all, the Portuguese is one of the best players in the world. However, the Catalan club have been following him extensively recently, and there have even been suggestions that he is now the number one target.

According to Sport, via SempreBarca, the Blaugrana are in love with the idea of bringing Leao to the club. Joan Laporta believes he can offer the winger the best at the club, and there are now suggestions that he is even above Nico Williams on their wishlist – which is certainly a shock.

Furthermore, Jorge Mendes continues to try and manufacture a move, with Leao even ‘being keen’ to don the Barcelona shirt, according to the report.

Considering information this afternoon has stated that Milan feel ‘serene’ about his position, there should be no need to worry. However, if silly money starts to get thrown around, it could change everything.
