January was a very difficult month for Tottenham but there was the odd bright spark, notably automatic progression to the Europa League knockout rounds.
And it's that competition where their goal of the month, in the shape of Heung-Min's brilliant finish against Hoffenheim, has come from.
Spurs headed to Germany needing a win to both keep a top-eight finish in their control and to lift the pressure that was building around Ange Postecoglou.
Son did exactly that, leading from the front as a captain should, and scoring twice in a 3-2 win. His first was a deflected effort, but his second was certainly not.
It was what we've come to expect from the South Korean over the years, as he showed how adept he is with both feet, and buried the ball into the bottom corner.
Finding the bottom corner 🎯 Sonny's second strike in Hoffenheim is your January Goal of the Month 👏–
Spurs will be hoping their main man can do similar tonight as they head to Anfield looking to protect a 1-0 lead, and book their place in the EFL Cup final against Newcastle in March.
