Heung-Min Son was not involved in Tottenham’s open training session in front of the media ahead of their Europa League semi-final first leg with Bodo/Glimt.

The forward has been missing of late with a foot injury, which boss Ange Postecoglou revealed he has been struggling with for some time and had been worsening.

Postecoglou said ahead of the game that it would be “touch and go” for Son to return in time to face Bodo/Glimt and it now looks as though he will again miss out.

Discussing the South Korean international’s injury earlier this month, the Tottenham boss explained: “It’s something he’s been dealing with for a little while and it got to the point where not only wasn’t it improving but it was deteriorating.

“It’s one of those things where rest is going to be as important as anything else, with that kind of injury, so we’ll give him that time.”

Son is expected to be fit in time to return for the second leg, however.

Tottenham’s opponents Bodo/Glimt, meanwhile, have suffered several blows ahead of their first-leg clash.

Central defender Odin Bjørtuft was forced off during his side’s 3-0 win over KFUM in the Norweigen Eliteserien with what looked to be a groin injury and is now a doubt for the game against Tottenham.

Captain Patrick Berg is unable to be included due to picking up too many yellow cards in the Europa League, as is the case for midfielder Hakon Evjen. Andreas Helmersen was sent off in the last round against Lazio so is also unable to play.

Winger Ole Blomberg missed his side’s most recent win and is an injury doubt to face Spurs too, as is right-back Daniel Bassi.

The only other absentee for Spurs is Radu Dragusin who continues to recover from an ACL injury.
