Rangers out-on-loan midfielder Kieran Dowell has revealed that Birmingham City’s tendency to dominate games helped to make the move to St Andrew’s an attractive one.

Dowell played a bit part role for Rangers during the first half of the season and joined Birmingham City on loan in January after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Ibrox under Philippe Clement.

The midfielder has featured regularly for Birmingham City since joining and he scored his first goal on Tuesday night in League One against Cambridge United.

Dowell pointed out that Birmingham City have dominated every game since his arrival at the club and stressed that the dominant nature of the Blues attracted him.

The Rangers loanee also revealed that Birmingham City boss Chris Davies also told him that the Blues like to dominate games and added that the League One outfit always create a lot of chances during games.

“We obviously dominated every game, well, since I have been here, we’ve played in and that is what attracts me to the club”, Dowell told Blues TV.

Rangers asked Dowell to find a new club during the winter transfer window and it remains to be seen whether the Gers star will impress during his loan spell to earn a permanent move to the Blues in the summer.
