The winners on aggregate will advance to the quarterfinals. Away goals serve as the primary tiebreaker. If necessary, extra time and a penalty shootout will decide the winner.

Tigres UANL vs. LA Galaxy

Tigres UANL meets LA Galaxy at Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Juan Brunetta, Joaquim Henrique, Nicolás Ibáñez, and Ozziel Herrera had some of the better looks for the Mexican side in the first leg. Herrera and Ibáñez lead the side in scoring with two goals each.

Nahuel Guzmán was reliable in goal again with two saves and the clean sheet. The Argentine goalkeeper has two clean sheets on the campaign.

LA Galaxy goalkeeper John McCarthy shined in the first leg with four saves for the home side. Gabriel Pec led the side with three attempts, while Isaiah Parente and Matheus Nascimento had efforts on goal.

Cruz Azul vs. Club América

Cruz Azul meets crosstown rivals Club América at Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City, Mexico.

This edition of the Clásico Joven rivalry provides a meeting between two of the most successful clubs in the competition's history, six-time winners Cruz Azul and seven-time winners and record holders Club América. It is also a meeting of the two top-ranked teams in the current Concacaf Club Rankings.

Cruz Azul goalkeeper Kevin Mier took the spotlight in the first leg with three saves, among his elusive defensive play in precarious situations, to earn his second clean sheet of the campaign. Overall, the Azul defense has four clean sheets with Andrés Gudiño stepping in goal in Round One.

Ángel Sepúlveda leads the 2025 campaign with four goals and nearly attained his fifth in the first leg, with a header on target in the 57’, denied by a spectacular save from Luis Ángel Malagón.

Malagón earned his second consecutive clean sheet in the Concacaf Champions Cup. The América goalkeeper starred for Mexico in between the Round of 16 and the first leg of the quarterfinal, helping his nation to its first Concacaf Nations League trophy to earn a CNL Finals Best XI nod and take the tournament's Best Goalkeeper Award.

Kevin Álvarez, Diego Valdés, and Brian Rodríguez led the way for Las Águilas with one shot on target. Álvaro Fidalgo also had a promising look in stoppage time to nearly take the match-winner but was guided off target by Mier.
