Tottenham Hotspur are hunting a victory ahead of their all-important Europa League quarter-final, with Southampton visiting N17 on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs' wretched record at Stamford Bridge continued on Thursday as an Enzo Fernandez header secured all three points for Chelsea. It was another forgettable evening for Ange Postecoglou, who's clearly feeling the heat amid the club's dire domestic situation.

The north Londoners have dropped to 16th and are on course for their worst-ever Premier League season. Their 1-0 defeat in midweek was the 16th Postecoglou has overseen in the league.

Southampton have long been consigned to the second tier, but Ivan Juric is intent on ensuring his team usurp Derby County's record low points tally of 11. They edged towards the promised land by securing a point at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, although the Saints were minutes away from recording just their third league win of a miserable campaign.

Here is 90min's guide to Sunday's Premier League duel.

Pedro Porro, Pape Sarr and Mathys Tel are among the players who could return to the starting XI on Sunday.

There are several more doubts for the fixture. Lesley Ugochukwu, Paul Onuachu and Ryan Manning were all forced off against Palace in midweek, although none have endured major setbacks.

Tyler Dibling is a reported Spurs target for the summer despite Southampton's mammoth asking price, and the young playmaker is expected to start in N17.

Tottenham vs Southampton score prediction

Things are bad at Tottenham, with an air of toxicity returning to N17 ahead of their critical Europa League quarter-final. Thursday's defeat represented another nadir for the manager, who simply has to oversee a victory on Sunday.

Southampton are determined not to end the season as the Premier League's worst-ever team, and they have at least been competitive in recent outings. Spurs' uncertainty means the Saints may have a chance of securing a result, but Ange's side surely can't drop points to the division's bottom dwellers on home soil, right?
