Paris Saint-Germain opened the scoring in their Coupe de France Round of 16 clash with Le Mans, capitalizing on a mistake from the opposition.

Another mistake in the build-up play from Le Mans came in the 25th minute, and it proved to be fatal. Served by his goalkeeper, Alexandre Lauray tried to play a short pass, but it was intercepted by Gonçalo Ramos. The ball then came to Désiré Doué, who controlled it and slotted past Ewan Hatfout with a right-footed angled shot.
