Aston Villa strengthened their push for a Champions League berth with a convincing win over Tottenham Hotspur.
A seventh triumph in their last nine league outings lifted Unai Emery's team into fourth place, edging ahead of Manchester City by a single point.
The breakthrough came shortly before the hour when John McGinn’s corner was nodded down by Ollie Watkins, finding Ezri Konsa, who calmly finished from close range.
Boubacar Kamara sealed the result with his first Premier League goal — a low, driven strike in the 73rd minute that beat Spurs goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.
McGinn also came close with a shot that drifted just wide, capping off a dominant Villa display.
To secure a top-five spot, Villa must now win their final match of the season away at Manchester United and rely on favourable outcomes elsewhere.
Ange Postecoglou’s depleted Tottenham side struggled to respond and remain fourth from bottom, shifting their focus to the Europa League final against Ruben Amorim’s United on Wednesday, 21 May.
