Dusan Vlahovic will have to fight for minutes in the second half of the season after Juventus signed Randal Kolo Muani but hasn’t shown tangible signs of malcontent, nor is he pushing to leave. Al-Nassr offered him an escape route in recent days. However, he didn’t consider the destination, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
The Saudi franchise would have offered him conspicuous wages, but things didn’t move past an initial inquiry.
Following the arrival of Kolo Muani, Vlahovic is no longer guaranteed the starting job for the first time since joining Juventus. Coach Thiago Motta said he didn’t have any issue with that. He called him “a positive leader, who reacted very well,” to his decisions in his latest remarks to DAZN.
The recent demotion, which was partially caused by a minor physical problem, didn’t prompt the Serb to look for a way out in January. His departure will be a lot more likely next summer unless somehow he and his camp concur to a new contract with the Bianconeri. The parties are on polar terms at this stage.
Per Calciomercato, there’s not a lot of traction regarding his January exit, but the Old Lady is open for business. His residual financial value is €30M. The club might not request much more than that. In any case, it’ll have to be a permanent deal, either outright or a loan with an obligation to buy.
Teams wouldn’t be sniffing around if there wasn’t at least an opening for the winter, which is surely there given his contract-related saga. But the price would have to be right, and the front office would need to find another good striker to accept.
