‘We have to win’ – Retegui sets his sights on Milan after Bologna victory

Matteo Retegui is currently enjoying the best season of his life, and he wants to keep his scoring form going this weekend against AC Milan.
The Italian striker has been one of the biggest revelations of the season, and perhaps even recent years, with Atalanta signing him as a desperation move. However, he has been superb for La Dea, scoring 23 goals in Serie A so far, and with 30 well in his sights.
Earlier in the season, the attacker was not involved in the starting lineup, though both strikers on that day scored – Charles de Ketelare and Ademola Lookman, and he will wish to add himself to that list at the weekend.
In fact, immediately after the Bergamo outfit’s win at the weekend against Bologna, Retegui was thinking ahead to his next opponents, who are, of course, Milan, and speaking to DAZN, he gave a short preview of the game, via Milan News.
“We are very happy with this result, we came from two defeats and today we showed everyone that we are well and we have learned from the mistakes we made. We hope to continue like this, now we head to Milan because we have to win.
“Obviously I want to score goals in every game, I know it’s difficult, but the important thing is to win to get into the Champions League. Then if I reach 30 goals, it’s fine. With Gasperini, there’s a great relationship, we’re doing well and we have to continue like this.”
Reports have suggested he is on the Rossoneri’s list for the summer, so perhaps, a little scout may be had.
