A sidelined member of the midfield ranks at Premier League giants Manchester City has on Tuesday travelled to Barcelona, for an expert opinion on his condition.

The player in question? Rodri.

For those who may have missed it, Spanish international Rodri was dealt nothing short of a hammer blow on the injury front this past weekend.

En route to Man City’s 2-2 Premier League stalemate with Arsenal, the 28-year-old was forced into a premature departure from proceedings, with what looked an altogether concerning knee problem.

And, post-match, as much was confirmed, Rodri having suffered an ACL tear, which could well keep him sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.

The exact path forward for the midfield maestro must now be determined, between Manchester City, Rodri himself, and a team of medical specialists.

And, as alluded to above, on Tuesday, the player touched down in Barcelona, to meet with one such expert – Dr. Ramón Cugat.
