Relegation candidate Wolves are set for a crucial Premier League fixture on Tuesday when the Midlands outfit plays host to West Ham at Molineux.
Sitting just outside the bottom three while owning a nine-point lead over Ipswich and Leicester City respectively, Vitor Pereira has the chance to guide his side to within five points of Graham Potters Hammers.
But the prevailing discussion point coming into the midweek clash comes by way of star man Matheus Cunha after recent comments from the Brazilian forward detailing a desire to move on to a bigger club come the summer.
Pereira tackled that question today during his pre-match presser.
"He knows his potential as a top player," he said. "And, for me, it's normal that he has ambition to fight for titles."
"For me, this is natural. It happens with other players in all clubs."
"But, the most important thing is to be committed, to help the team, to achieve our targets, and this is the most important thing in this moment."
"At the end of the season, we'll see."
When asked to provide any reassurances on whether or not the 25-year-old would remain at the club, Pereira responded cheekily.
"Well, I don't know if I am alive tomorrow, so it's better to wait."
"The focus is the next game. The focus is the team, and Matheus makes part of the team. Not for this game, but my focus is my team."
Cunha has been a leading light for the club across the season, topping Wolves' goal chart with 13 goals in 26 appearances while chipping in with four assists.
