The personnel woes facing La Liga giants Real Madrid ahead of the club’s return to action have on Wednesday continued to mount.

Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action later this evening.

With sights on a bounce-back result after seeing their La Liga title hopes brought to an end at the hands of arch rivals Barcelona over the weekend, Los Blancos will welcome RCD Mallorca to Spain’s capital.

The day’s hosts head into the matchup amid nothing short of a crisis on the personnel front, with 11 members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad already ruled out owing to either injury or suspension.

The latest addition to this absentee list was Andriy Lunin, dropped from contention to face Mallorca this afternoon after picking up a hand injury.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then shot-stopper Lunin may not be the only Real Madrid star ruled out at the last minute.

As per a report from Marca:

‘Brahim Díaz felt discomfort in his adductor muscles this morning and could be out for tonight’s match against Mallorca.’
