A capital G is born, the new symbol to enhance the “Orgull Gironí” | OneFootball

Girona FC takes another step forward in its commitment to the territory, taking “Orgull Gironí” (pride of Girona) to a new dimension. This Club slogan, born in the 2017/18 season, has become an emblem of Girona's identity.

This step forward is visualised in a capital G, which is born from the silhouette of the waters shield present in the Club's emblem, combined with the words “Orgull Gironí”. This graphic evolution symbolises the strength and essence of a territory with a unique identity and a strong sense of belonging.

A feeling that goes beyond football

The “Orgull Gironí” transcends the sporting sphere to become a symbol for all those who love the counties of Girona. This initiative consists of highlighting the excellence and quality of our territory in areas as diverse as gastronomy, culture, sport and landscape, thus projecting the values of a land with a unique spirit and an unmistakable identity.

A project with specific actions and collaborations

The “Orgull Gironí” initiative will soon materialise in different actions and collaborations with local entities, companies and institutions, with the aim of promoting the Girona brand and its local talent. The aim is to create a network of synergies that will benefit both the Club and the territory as a whole, strengthening the link between sport and Girona society.

The “Orgull Gironí” podcast, the first initiative of the project

One of the first actions within this new drive is the launch of the "Orgull Gironí" podcast, a space designed to give voice to prominent figures of the territory and highlight stories that inspire. Footballers, coaches, artists, sportsmen and women, chefs and other personalities will share their experience, their links with Girona FC and Girona and their vision of how local talent contributes to the enhancement of our identity. This podcast will be a platform to reinforce the sense of belonging and establish a dialogue between the Club and the community.
