Fichajes has reported that Liverpool are looking to offload Darwin Nunez in the upcoming summer transfer window because they are not pleased with how things have gone with him at the club. AC Milan are interested in signing the striker and ready to spend €60 million to complete his signing.
When the Reds signed Nunez, he was coming to the Premier League on the back of some sensational performances for Benfica and was one of the best talents in the world. He was the most expensive signing at Anfield but has not managed to reach the hype and match the expectations. Nunez has displayed the spark but never has managed to back it up with consistency.
Nunez has scored four goals in 18 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Overall, Nunez’s goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.44. Moreover, his total G/A (goals + assists) is six for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.66 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.46.

Looking into his passing aspect of the game, Nunez Ribeiro passes the ball roughly 16.20 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 70.14%. He also plays 0.67 key passes each game which leads to significant scoring chances. Overall, Nunez Ribeiro’s xA (expected assists) output is 0.19 per 90 minutes.
The Uruguayan striker for Liverpool is known for his explosive pace, strength, and relentless pressing. His physicality allows him to dominate defenders, while his knack for scoring from tight angles showcases his finishing prowess. Núñez possesses an instinctive movement off the ball, making him a constant threat in the box. His aerial ability, combined with a fearless approach to shooting, often leads to spectacular goals. Despite occasional inconsistency, his potential and work rate make him a formidable forward. So, he would still be a profitable signing for the Serie A side.
AC Milan are looking to make new signings in the attacking department due to the unclear future of their star Rafael Leao. The €60 million that Milan are ready to offer will certainly be a profitable offer for the Reds, given the form that Nunez has shown. They can use it to make the signings that they need in the summer transfer window.
