A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona emerged as a leading target on the part of AC Milan ahead of this week’s winter transfer deadline.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Ferran Torres as the player in question.
Milan, of course, are fresh off shaking up their frontline in a major way.
After agreeing to send Álvaro Morata to Turkey with Galatasaray, the Rossoneri first brought in Santiago Giménez from Feyenoord.
Still not content with the options at the disposal of new boss Sérgio Conceição, however, the San Siro brass moved for a 2nd attacking addition, in the form of João Félix.
As alluded to above, though, this only came after the Italian heavyweights saw a move for Barcelona’s Ferran Torres knocked back.
As per a report from Marca:
‘The Italian club asked about the Spanish player, but there was no option. Deco’s response was blunt: “Ferran is not leaving Barcelona.” He did not even enter into negotiations about a possible exit.’
