HLN are reporting that Kortrijk striker Mounaïm El Idrissy is set to depart the club on deadline day. The 25-year-old forward will cross the border and join Ligue 2 side ESTAC Troyes, who currently sit 12th. The side have only scored 22 goals in 21 games so far this season and will hope the El Idrissy can provide some firepower. They are only two points above the relegation play off spot, which is currently occupied by Red Star Paris.
French forward El Idrissy joined Kortrijk in the summer of 2023 and has gone on to play 41 games, without scoring or providing an assist. He joined from AC Ajaccio, who he had played 119 games for, scoring 15 goals. This season the forward has played 17 games for Kortrijk in the Pro League. He leaves a Kortrijk side that look set to be relegated this season. They are second bottom in the Belgian top flight, already eight points adrift of safety. The gap to Sint Truiden above them in 14th is growing to four points. Whoever finishes in 14th will end up playing against the winners of the play-offs in the Belgian second tier.
