Famous agent Federico Pastorelli backs former Inter Milan goalkeeper Andrei Radu to join a Champions League club.
Speaking to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInterNews, Pastorello backed the Venezia shot-stopper to make a quantum leap soon.
After a dismal second stint at the San Siro, Andrei Radu left Inter to join Venezia on a short-term deal in January.
Indeed, after losing Inter loanee Filip Stankovic to injury, Eusebio Di Francesco’s side had to intervene in the market.
Radu emerged as a decent market opportunity, considering he was on his way out of Giuseppe Meazza.
Therefore, the parties found a swift agreement, with the 27-year-old penning a six-month contract.
It has thus far proved a massive coup for relegation-threatened Venezia.
Radu has hit the ground running at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, quickly becoming one of the fan favorites.
Things did not go Radu’s way at Inter. Unfortunately, competition for a place between the sticks was too fierce.
Indeed, he first had to be Samir Handanovic’s backup.

Then, Andre Onana came from Ajax as one of the hottest goalkeeping prospects.
Finally, Inter signed Yann Sommer to replace the Cameroonian star.
“It’s been three tough years, but that period is behind him,” Pasterello was adamant.
“A situation like that can put you in a difficult spot, but he took responsibility.”
However, Radu has turned the corner at Venezia.
Last weekend, he pulled off a ‘Man of the Match’ performance in a heroic 0-0 home draw against Napoli.
That led Pastorello to make a bold prediction about the Romanian’s future.
“I am convinced that in a few years, he will be a starting goalkeeper in the Champions League, without ruling out a future in Italy.”
Radu’s exit would open up more space for Stankovic, who will likely stay at Venezia beyond the summer.
