Despite their struggles in the Premier League, United have been outstanding in Europe this season. They went unbeaten on their way to the final.

Goals by Mason Mount (2), Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund sealed a confident and energetic second-half performance at Old Trafford.

United now face Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the final on May 21. Both sides are hoping to secure Champions League qualification through the competition.

Speaking after the match, Amorim acknowledged the importance of reaching the final.

“It’s the least we can do for these fans, for all the support they have given us in this tough season,” he said.

“But I’m stressed already because of the final! If you do not win it, it means nothing. We need to win it.”

He reflected on United’s domestic struggles and their strong European form.

“The team should be better,” Amorim added. “I should be better at this moment, but we are trying.

“We have done quite well in Europe, but struggled a lot in the Premier League.”

Amad Diallo returned from injury and brought fresh energy to the team, and Amorim praised his impact in the second half.

“We did not have energy [in the first half], but Amad [Diallo] gave us the energy,” he said.

“Mason Mount, I’m so happy for him. He’s such a good player – he works really hard, he has such quality.”

The Portuguese coach also spoke highly of Mount’s attitude off the pitch.

“Sometimes, we have games where we are just surviving, but with more options, this helps us to win games’ said Amorim.

“It’s important for every player, but when you see that kind of guy [like Mount] working hard every day, eating well, resting, ice bath, he does everything.

“When you have this kind of player, you just want to help them.”
