He also noted that while his team had greater clarity and quality compared to their opponents, they matched Deportiva Minera in attitude and work ethic, which was crucial to their performance.

A standout moment of the match was Luka Modric’s display, which earned him the loudest applause of the night.

“Modric is a gift for football. Even more so for those who can enjoy him up close: the fans, his teammates, the coach and the whole of Real Madrid,” said the manager

Modric’s dedication to the game was highlighted, as he approached this match with the same intensity as a final. His professionalism and preparation continue to serve as a guiding example for younger players in the squad.

“For me, he is a great gift. The way he prepares for these types of matches, he does it as if it were a final. He is a very important example for our youngsters,” he added.

Speaking about the youth players who featured in the game, Ancelotti acknowledged their quality and potential. He stressed the importance of giving young talents opportunities to train, play, and grow within the first team setup.

“They showed their quality. They have quality. It is a good experience for them to be with us, to work, to train, to get minutes with us.

“They are young, they and others, with a lot of quality. We always have them under control, we observe them.”

Endrick, the Brazilian youngster, also caught attention with his performance. Ancelotti praised his movement and effectiveness in attack, noting that while he could improve his finishing, his overall contribution was promising.

“He had a good game, scoring is a nice touch, he moved well, he had opportunities, his movement is always effective behind the attacking line.”

Endrick’s patience and determination will be essential as he adapts to the demands of top-level football.

“He lacked accuracy, but his game was very good. And he was very dangerous on the right. He must be patient, he will score goals when we need them.”

Federico Valverde’s contribution was also commended, with the Uruguayan playing 45 minutes to maintain his rhythm and fitness. Ancelotti highlighted his freshness and form, stating that his performance continues to impress.

“He was very good, he played 45 minutes and we thought that was good for him. He came out of Valencia very fresh. We took minutes away from others. He is doing very well,” the manager noted.

On Jesus Vallejo, Ancelotti revealed that the defender’s future is up to him, as he was unavailable due to minor discomfort.

“It’s his decision whether he’s going to leave. He hasn’t played because of some discomfort, not because of other things.”

Meanwhile, Ancelotti dismissed any concerns about Vinícius Júnior, reaffirming the club’s belief in the Brazilian winger’s importance and his connection with Madrid’s supporters.

“He doesn’t need more affection from the people of Madrid. He has it, he knows it and he can give more because he is one of the best in the world. The sanction? We don’t think he will be sanctioned,” he concluded.
