Sitting in sixth place in the Premier League with 19 points, Spurs have had a bit of a rollercoaster season, filled with great performances but also a fair share of injuries.

Tottenham Hotspur are grappling with a growing injury list, and the absence of 17-year-old Mikey Moore is proving to be a significant blow.

The talented winger, who had started to make his mark in Ange Postecoglou’s squad, has been sidelined since early November due to a severe illness.

Moore’s recovery has taken longer than initially expected, with reports now suggesting that he will need another three to four weeks to fully recover.

According to reports from The Spurs News, he is likely to miss most of the busy Christmas period, a crucial time for Spurs in both domestic and European competitions.

The timing couldn’t be worse for the youngster, who was beginning to establish himself as a reliable option in Tottenham’s attack.

His absence has left the team short of firepower, adding to Postecoglou’s mounting challenges.

Tottenham’s attacking depth has been significantly tested in recent weeks. Alongside Moore, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert are both sidelined with injuries, while Timo Werner remains a fitness doubt.

Heung-Min Son, the club’s captain and star forward, has been forced to shoulder a heavy workload, raising concerns about burnout.

Moore’s illness has further complicated matters, as he was seen as a valuable addition to the squad’s rotation.

The youngster’s ability to create chances and his growing confidence on the pitch made him a promising option for Postecoglou, particularly in matches like their Europa League group stage clashes.

Spurs’ next fixture against Roma will likely see Werner pushed into the starting lineup despite lingering fitness concerns.

Injuries impacting defence and goalkeeping

The challenges aren’t limited to the attack. Spurs are also dealing with significant absences in defence and goalkeeping.

Micky van de Ven is out until mid-December with a hamstring injury, while goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario recently underwent surgery for a fractured ankle, sidelining him for six to ten weeks.

Adding to the woes, Cristian Romero was not spotted in training ahead of the Europa League match against Roma, making him a doubt for the weekend’s Premier League clash against Fulham.

Injuries are stacking up, putting Tottenham in a tough spot that will challenge their squad depth and resilience.
