As a club and fanbase, Arsenal take some beating.

That is, when it comes to their arrogance.

If you ever have had the misfortune to see anything online from that excruciatingly embarrassing Arsenal fans TV, you will for sure know what I mean.

It is not all Arsenal fans of course, every other club’s fanbase has their embarrassing fans (including Newcastle United!), but the Gunners just seem to have an awful lot more than anybody else. Yes, even outranking the likes of Man U and Liverpool.

Anyway, I was interested to see this below.

One-time Arsenal striker Alan Smith advising his old club to go and buy Alexander Isak, Newcastle United’s best player, but only to play him in some games!

Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith talking to Mega Dice about who the Gunners should sign:

“I think Alexander Isak would definitely fit in at Arsenal.

“It might be that he doesn’t play every week but I am a big fan of his.

“Technically, he is very good and I think you have to be in that Arsenal team.

“He’s somebody that’ll play on that last line more than Kai Havertz wants to do.

“I don’t know whether Newcastle will let him go at this stage in the season, it depends on how much money Arsenal have got.

“There’s a missing link in their attack and Isak would complete it.

“Liverpool have got loads of options and Arsenal just don’t have that depth in quality in those positions.

“Isak would be a great signing.”

The idea of Arsenal leaving Alexander Isak on the bench and playing the likes of Jesus or Havertz ahead of him is amusing.

The Arsenal arrogance is shown perfectly with Alan Smith saying whether the Gunners sign him, simply ‘depends on how much money Arsenal have got.’

Well I think Smith missing out the small matter of whether or not Alexander Isak would choose Arsenal over Newcastle United…

The former Arsenal striker thinks it is just whether Newcastle United get a big enough offer BUT what if they don’t want to sell their best player AND goalscorer at any price, especially mid-season? Well certainly any price that Arsenal would be willing to pay. I have regularly seen Arsenal fans and even some of their ex-players, talk about getting Alexander Isak for around £80m, even as little as £70m. This for a young striker who Newcastle United paid £63m for and who has scored 35 Premier League goals, despite starting only 54 PL matches.
