After an impressive win away in Lisbon on Tuesday night, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side have returned to England ahead of another away trip to West Ham United on Saturday.
The Gunners have at least one injury concern following the midweek fixture, with Gabriel Magalhaes having been withdrawn early with around 10 minutes left to play.
After the game, Arteta said: “We don’t know (the extent of the injury) because he said he was feeling some discomfort, so I was about to make the change of Ras [Raheem Sterling] but I couldn’t make the sub and we had to make other ones.”

A few days later, Arteta still wasn’t giving much away on Gabriel’s condition, saying only that the club will have to “wait and see” whether he’ll be available on Saturday.
Speaking about Arsenal’s team news more generally, the manager said: “Not a lot because we have another training session. We have to see how the boys are today. A few weren’t able to train yesterday, but hopefully yes today. So we will have to wait and see.”
When pushed on whether he would give any other clues on Gabriel’s fitness, Arteta said: “No, because I can’t, not because I don’t want to.”
No one else appeared to leave the field with an injury on Tuesday, but Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori, and Martin Odegaard were all substituted.
Given all four players have had recent injuries, their withdrawals were hopefully just precautionary.

In terms of confirmed absentees, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are both expected to be out for a while longer. Neither will be involved against West Ham.
