Mikel Arteta hit by fresh injury blow - but Bukayo Saka is said to be targeting a comeback
Arsenal are in Dubai for some warm-weather training as they prepare for the start of the Premier League title run-in.
The Gunners were dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Newcastle last week but their 5-1 win over Manchester City before that means they remain six points behind Arne Slot’s leaders.
They also have the a Champions League last-16 tie on the horizon.
Arsenal had the weekend off after being knocked out of the FA Cup and Mikel Arteta hopes the mini-break will refresh his squad for their pursuit of Liverpool.
But the Arsenal boss has a fresh injury concern ahead of a key run of games.
Here’s a look at the latest Arsenal injuries…
Gabriel Martinelli injured his hamstring in the defeat at Newcastle.
Arteta confirmed Martinelli was set for a scan and reports suggest the Brazilian is facing more than a month out.
That would mean Martinelli would miss Premier League fixtures against Leicester, West Ham and Nottingham Forest, and make his a doubt for games against Manchester United on March 9 and Chelsea on March 16.
