According to Fichajes, Arsenal are prepared to trigger the €58 million release clause of Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams. The Premier League club want to add the Spanish attacker to their unit before any other club takes the advantage.

Williams is having an average campaign so far, where he has managed to net only three goals across 29 games. Though he also has five assists to his name. He is averaging 1.9 shots, 1.6 key passes, and 2.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Spanish attacker is versatile enough to be deployed on either wing. He is fast, can dribble, provide key passes and take set-pieces effectively. With clinical finishing skills and high work-rate off the ball, he adds a lot of value to the unit.
Arsenal are competiting for major trophies this season but multiple injuries in their camp has raised concerns. Hence, the pursuit of Nico Williams makes sense as he can provide the needed firepower in the absence of Bukayo Saka.
Williams can also be an upgrade for the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard in the long-term. His qualities and style of play will be well suited in Mikel Arteta’s system. He can be a good long-term acuqisition for the English outfit.
Arsenal are ready to trigger the €58 million release clause to bring the 22-year-old at their disposal. However, Tottenham Hotspur are a threat to the Gunners as Spurs are also making strong moves to get the signature of the player.
