Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly exploring options to bolster their attack as 2025 approaches, with Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres emerging as a potential target.
According to Foot Mercato, PSG’s sporting advisor Luís Campos has shown interest in the Swedish striker and has already initiated discussions with his representatives. However, conversations with head coach Luis Enrique have revealed the manager has some reservations about the move.
Meanwhile, SPORT claims that Barcelona are weighing a €70 million offer for Gyökeres. Their proposal could include a condition allowing him to remain at Sporting on loan for another season.
In addition, CaughtOffside reports that Newcastle are prepared to pursue Gyökeres if Alexander Isak departs the club. However, this move is unlikely to materialize during the January transfer window.

Arsenal reportedly see Gyökeres as a leading candidate to replace Gabriel Jesus, who has struggled with confidence this season, scoring just once so far.
Martin Keown has suggested that Arsenal could make a significant investment in a new striker if their current forwards don’t improve.
“The players who are there at the moment need to start scoring goals fast, don’t they? Otherwise, Mikel will put his hands in his pocket and buy a forward,” Keown told the Oxford Mail.
When specifically asked about Gyökeres, Keown responded: “He’s not quick enough. And he wouldn’t have been quick enough in my day.”
A recent report from TBR Football states that Gyökeres’ goalless outing against Arsenal hasn’t impacted the Gunners’ interest in the Swedish forward. They still regard him highly and see him as one of several strikers being considered to strengthen their attack next year.
Furthermore, TEAMtalk recently revealed that Manchester United, Newcastle United, and PSG are the clubs most interested in Gyökeres, according to sources.
