Barcelona boss Flick provides update on Dani Olmo & Pau Víctor situation | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Tuesday spoken out on the ongoing efforts of the club to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor with La Liga.

The respective names of summer signings Olmo and Víctor have of course taken their place front and centre in the media headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.

This comes as Barcelona’s efforts to register the pair for the remainder of the campaign continue to come up short.

After seeing their appeals rejected by both La Liga and the RFEF, the Blaugrana have now been forced to head down the legal route, through the courts.

Speaking to the media in his pre-match press conference ahead of facing off with Athletic Club in the Spanish Super Cup on Wednesday, it therefore came as little surprise when the names of both players were put to boss Hansi Flick.

And, in his response, Barca’s headmaster went on to admit that he doesn’t expect to have either Olmo or Víctor at his disposal tomorrow night:

“I don’t expect the situation of Olmo and Pau Victor to be resolved by tomorrow. We must wait.”

Flick continued:

“It is not an easy situation for us. Not having them is difficult because they are two important players. But it unites us as a team and we have to show that we are a team.”
