A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has carved out more goalscoring opportunities than any other player in Europe’s top-5 leagues this season.

That’s according to StatMuse, who point towards Raphinha as the player in question.

Wide-man Raphinha is of course in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular individual campaign to date.

Released from his shackles by way of the all-action system employed by new head coach Hansi Flick, the Brazilian has responded by way of a Ballon d’Or-worthy season.

All told, across 50 appearances in all competitions to date, Raphinha has racked up an eye-watering 53 direct goal contributions.

23 such contributions have come courtesy of assists for his teammates, excellence reflected aptly by the chance creation numbers.

As revealed by statisticians StatMuse, Raphinha has created 84 goalscoring opportunities in La Liga this season.

This is the most in Europe’s top-5 leagues, one more than has been managed by Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
