Barcelona are set to take on Atletico Madrid at Montjuic tonight, in what will serve as the first of the two-legged semifinals in Copa Del Rey.
It is a must-win game for Hansi Flick, whose team lost narrowly against Atleti in the La Liga fixture earlier in the season.
As Barcelona gear up for this important encounter, the club’s vice-president Rafa Yuste only had good things to say about the team.
Yuste expressed how he is excited about the team and its prospects ahead while also mentioning Flick’s 60th birthday, which took place yesterday.
“Yesterday the coach turned 60 years old and we’re all very excited with this team, the young people of the academy and the season we’re having,” he said (h/t SPORT).

Yuste is hopeful that Barcelona can yield a better result than they did last time they faced Atletico Madrid – a game that ended 2-1 in favour of Los Colchoneros.
“Tonight we will face a very strong team, Atletico Madrid. It will be a very difficult game, we must not forget that it is a 180-minute knockout. We hope to have the success that we did not have in the league match,” he said.
Yuste’s statements ahead of the game have a very hopeful tone to them, which indicates that Barcelona are quite optimistic about gaining a lead in the first leg against Atletico Madrid.
The Catalans, after all, have been in phenomenal form since the turn of the year, with Flick’s men once again finding their rhythm both in defence and in attack.
However, Barcelona’s mettle could be tested against a well-oiled Atleti machine, who are more than capable of exposing the Blaugrana backline on the counter.
