Marco Baroni insists ‘everyone’ is important at Lazio but is confident that his team can ‘still improve.’
The Biancocelesti beat Monza 1-0 on Sunday and climbed to the spot with Atalanta, Fiorentina and Napoli, even if the Partenopei have a game in hand, this evening’s fixture at San Siro against Inter.
“I am happy because we put in an excellent performance. It’s truly tough to play seven games in 21 days. Congratulations to the players. It feels great to coach them,” Baroni told DAZN.

Baroni has often rotated his Lazio squad, and results are impressive in all competitions as the Serie A side are also the table leader in the newly formatted Europa League.
“It’s part of my journey. I’ve always coached everyone,” said Baroni.
“Those with fewer playing time have given me the biggest satisfaction. We need everyone to be competitive on all fronts.
“We’ve done nothing yet. We are happy with the journey, and we can still improve,” he continued.
“I am satisfied with the lads called up by their national teams. Now, we’ll rest for a few days and then return to work because we’ll have important games after the break.
“The team is always ready to perform, which is the most important thing. Difficult moments will come, but with this attitude, everything will be easier.”
