Arda Guler suffered a difficult start to the season as he did not see the minutes he would have liked to enjoy at Real Madrid, especially given what he has shown with his national team.
In recent weeks, however, Carlo Ancelotti has given the youngster more prominence and he looks to be in the ascendency.
Now, according to reports from Defensa Central, Bayern Munich offered Los Blancos a player trade involving the Turkish sensation and hoped to send club legend Thomas Muller the other way.
The Bavarians’ proposal was to sign Guler from Real Madrid in exchange for Muller who is a champion in his own right. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, however, refused to even consider the possibility, and rightfully so.

For starters, the president believes that the youngster has what it takes to become a pillar of the club’s future and can see the quality he possesses.
Further, the prospect of signing Muller does not excite the club simply because the player is already 35 years of age and the Merengues do not stand to gain much from the operation.
Guler is loved in the dressing room and all his teammates and the management are well aware of what he can bring to the table in the years to come. There is thus no chance the president will accept any form of swap involving him.
The 19-year-old was a starter against Liverpool and Girona earlier in recent weeks and will only see more participation as the months go by. His goal against Girona, after all, showed what he is capable of.
