Bayern win the meeting between the two European heavyweights
Bayern Munich have beaten PSG to boost their chances of automatic qualification for the Champions League knockout stage.
In a repeat of the 2019/20 final, the only goal of the game came shortly before half-time as Matvei Safonov - starting instead of Gianluigi Donnaruma - was unable to claim Joshua Kimmich's in-swinging corner and his mistake left Kim Min-jae with a straightforward header from close range.
Ahead of Wednesday night’s fixtures, Bayern have moved up to 11th in the table and they face Shakhtar Donetsk, Feyenoord and Slovan Bratislava in their final three fixtures of the group phase.
Meanwhile, PSG have little margin for error in their final three games - against Salzburg, Manchester City and Stuttgart - and will be without Ousmane Dembele next time out after he was sent-off for two bookable offences and therefore must serve a one-game suspension.
