Borussia Dortmund are exploring a deal to sign Ajax goalkeeper Diant Ramaj (23), according to Sky Germany. Discussions have already taken place, and the Bundesliga side are preparing for the eventual departure of Gregor Kobel, which could occur in the summer.
The Bundesliga side are looking into the possibility of signing Ramaj before Monday’s deadline with the idea of loaning him out within the Bundesliga, or to a Danish club. However, a deal before tomorrow’s deadline remains difficult because former German youth international is in the Ajax squad to face Feyenoord on Sunday afternoon.
As for Kobel, his Borussia Dortmund future remains uncertain. BVB’s No. 1 has a contract until 2028 but BILD reported towards the end of last year that the Swiss goalkeeper is a frustrated figure. Kobel ‘wants to win titles’ and with Die Schwarzgelben sitting 10th – potentially 11th come Sunday evening – the club are in danger of missing out on next season’s Champions League.
